Again, welcome to our blog! Blogs have become a popular new way of expressing your thoughts, opinions, and emotions, especially in reference to current events.
To start the class blogging, we will be working in the library/lab for a short period of time about once a week. Each week we will have a new assignment for you to accomplish. Let's get started!

- Ms. Biondi was recently awarded "Teacher of the Year" after teaching English for six years. Ms. Whelan is in her final semester of student teaching, finishing her degree in English Education at UNC Charlotte.
Hey there! Just a bit about myself--I am 37 years old, have a (fairly) new baby named Zander, and I am also in charge of CCHS's prom, which I am really excited about! I really enjoy both reading and writing blogs, so I am looking forward to this experience. Hope you are too!
ReplyDeleteHello everyone! As you all probably know by now, I am a student teacher from UNC Charlotte (Go Niners!). This is my final semester so I'm very excited about graduating and to finally work full-time in the classroom with you guys! I love reading and writing (obviously) but I also have a passion for animals and hope to somehow incorporate them into teaching one day.

ReplyDeleteHi everyone...my name is Nadia Szynarowski and I am part of Mrs. Biondii's and Ms. Whelan's 1st period Honors English III class. I love soccer and knitting. I love writing but not so much reading. I have to be really interested in a good book or story to want to read. Well anywho, I'm excited for Honors English III and what it has in store for me! :)

ReplyDeleteThis is awkward... uhhh. This is Ty Vilchis. I love playing soccer and basketball. I like playing outside, like riding dirtbikes and playing paintball. I'm a big music person. I like everything except rap and country. Also I like hanging out with friends. This semester is going to be interesting and very challenging since I suck at english.
ReplyDeleteI'm Michael Roop. :D I try to keep myself busy by hanging out with friends most of the time. I really don't like being alone; I think I'm pretty codependent. I've turned into a band dork since I've hit Junior year, and I love to be involved in it. I'm in the winter guard (if you know what that is), and I love it. I'm not exactly looking forward to this semester just because it's a step closer to graduating. I really don't want to move on from high school. I've been an internet dork since I was twelve, so I have had my fair experience of blogging. But every website is different, so it'll probably take me a bit to get the hang of this one.

ReplyDeleteThis is Philip O. I don't have any special hobbies or interests... movies, music, friends, family, and school. I like driving to new places, but I can't afford the gas to do that too often. I've lived in Midland for about a year now, but I'm not too crazy about that place; I like Concord, where I used to live. I like the North and Québec even more. This semester is going to kill me with homework, but I'll manage.
ReplyDeleteSup playas!!! Just some fun facts about me--I play on Central's football team and run track in the spring. I have a little sister named Lilly and she's almost 2 years old. I enjoy going down in the summer to Miami Beach to visit my dad and all of my family. Well I really dont know much about blogging, but hopefully I will soon. Maybe by the time this class is over I'll be an expert! Yea right! LOL.

ReplyDeleteI'm Nick, and I love football, but by now almost everybody knows that, because I have my own football show. My favorite team is the Panthers, and I'm very disappointed that they aren't playing in the Super Bowl. Also, I play clarinet and I'm the woodwind captain of the schools marching band.

Currently a C/2nd LT in ROTC, i'm looking for a sort of military career later in life. I swim for the school and our team is going to regionals next weekend! I'm the kind of guy that listens to loud rock out of his truck with the windows down on the highway going a little over the speed limit. I enjoy long walks on the beach and....

ReplyDeleteHey!! I'm 16 and im from NJ. I will have been here in NC for 2 years now. Its very different and boring compared to up north. I love to read, now. I didnt always. I like to hang out with friends and shop when I can. I love shoe departments.I come off as quiet and I am very quiet in school but once im out of school i'm like the loudest person ever. I like to have alot of funn just like any other person does.
I'm sort of new to blogs. I have read them and I used to write them and i watched them alot too. But I stopped soooo now its kinda new.

ReplyDeleteI'm Holly Troutman. I like to be referred to as Holl Trou :]]. I've never really had my own blog (but I've had a wiki.) I love music. I'm in chorus now for 3 years in middle school and going on my 6th semester in high school. In my spare time, when I'm not cheering, I play guitar. Iv'e been playing about 4 years. I don't write songs or anything. Random tunes have never popped in my head. None the less, I love to play. I spend alot of my time at school so it is often hard to make time to play. I'm captain of varsity cheer here which takes a huge chunk of time out of my life(stressssssful). Along with cheer, I'm on the Student Council Executive Board. This also keeps me at school. I was cast in our school's spring musical, but due to Busse, I couldn't be a part of it. Mrs. Biondi is telling us to log out, but I'm not done. I'll sign in later to continue venting.

I spend most of my time hanging out with my friends and my boyfriend. The only things I normally read are the Twilight series, or what I have to read for school. I love watching movies. When I older, I want to be a nurse and work in pediatrics. I'm excited for this semester! :)

ReplyDeleteMy name is Stephen West. I am a very friendly and outgoing person with an amazing personality. My bestfriend is Holly Troutman who is also in this class. This is one of the two that we have together this semester. I am highly involved in school activities and enjoy helping improve everyday life here at Central. Holly and I are the captains of the varisty cheerleading team and to be honest it has become pretty stressfull. Track is another school sport that I partake in. Since seventh grade I have been running hurdles and I have found that I am pretty good at it. Last year became the conference champion in the 110 meter hurdles. Sports, however, are not my only activitites in school. I am also the junior class President in student government and a devoted member in Beta club. There's a lot more to me that is yet to be discovered but I suppose that will have to wait....Mrs. Biondi is calling!!! :) I am looking foward to learning many new things this semester.
hey...my name is Lindsey Brown and i have never had a blog before. It is very new for me so if i mess up don't laugh. :) anyways I love softball and I am a cheerleader. I am hoping to play softball in college and I am really excited. I love kids so i hope to become a pediatric nurse in the future!!

Well, to start off I am 17 years old and obviously a junior at CCHS. I would have to say that music probably has the biggest impact in my life, Ive played guitar for about 4 years now. Ive always liked to write and read stuff that interests me. My favorite place is Wilmington, NC. My dad and grandfather used to charter deep sea fishing boats there. I hope to go to UNCW and get a PhD in Marine Biology :). I am pretty set on traveling every inch of this planet's oceans. Im in love with my jeep wrangler, and so far nothing beats driving it on a hot summer day with the top down and doors off :). Im really excited that this is the last semester of my junior year!
